The Bay Area Community Colleges and Association of Manufacturers Bay Area (AMBayArea) are working to help K-12 students learn more about the skilled trades, engineering, and manufacturing careers (STEM) through the AMBayArea Ambassador Program. This program brings manufacturing professionals and students together so that the volunteers can bring a message of inspiration, passion, and drive to students who may not be aware of manufacturing and who may someday consider a career in the industry.
Teachers are looking for:
- Classroom speakers (up to 1 hour) – in-person or online
- Judges for competitions
- Industry advisory boards
- Local company tours
Through the Volunteer Form, manufacturing professionals and teachers can enter details such as the fields they specialize in or would like to expose the students to, their schedules and geographical location. This year we are updating the process so that both volunteers and teachers can browse the database and reach out to each other if they have matching criteria. This is a fun and engaging way to inspire the next generation of manufacturing professionals!
If you would like to volunteer and connect with students, sign up today.
