Expert Speakers, Exhibits, Networking, Breakout Sessions & More

Bay Area manufacturers will reconvene for the AMBayArea Summit 2022 hosted by the Association of Manufacturers Bay Area (AMBayArea) at Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland on Tuesday, April 26, from 1 to 7 p.m.

“We are thrilled to bring together our members and partners,” said Karen Burns, Interim Chair for the AMBayArea Board of Directors. “While we have continued to host valuable roundtable discussions virtually and provide member education via video, we look forward to returning in-person to our largest annual event.”

The 3rd annual event will provide the opportunity for manufacturers from every specialty and every region of the Bay Area to come together for a day of networking and professional education.

“We are proud to be returning as the Presenting Sponsor of the AMBayArea Summit 2022,” said Gene Russell, President and CEO of The Corporation for Manufacturing Excellence (Manex). “The challenges of Covid-19 have highlighted the extreme importance and strategic nature of manufacturing in the United States, and the most recent Russian invasion into Ukraine has elevated manufacturing even higher into the consciousness of society. AMBayArea is proud to play its part in reinvigorating California manufacturing.”

Panel Discussion

The event will open with Bay Area Manufacturing: The Next Five Years, a panel discussion moderated by Lance Hastings, President and CEO of the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA). Hastings works with state government to develop balanced laws, effective regulations, and sound public policies to stimulate economic growth and create new jobs while safeguarding the state’s environmental resources. Panelists include industry experts who will share their knowledge and experience with current and future regulations, sustainable business practices, emerging technologies, and managing supply chains, as well as offer insight into regional economic and labor market trends.
