Apply before midnight Wednesday, January 13, 2021 to be eligible for the first round of grant funding – companies not selected in the first round will automatically be considered in the second round.
$475 million of funding administered by the California Office of the Small Business Advocate will be distributed in two rounds. CMTC has been chosen as a partner by Lendistry and is assisting manufacturers with the application process. $5,000 to $25,000 grants are available. Requirements: Active for-profit business or individual DBA as a business; must be in business on or before June 1st, 2019; gross annual revenue between $1,000 – $2,500,000; use of funds must be related to COVID-19. Grant selection is based on need.
Grants will be awarded to businesses based on need. For example, companies who have experienced a drop in sales/revenues due to COVID or those with higher expenses/operational costs due to COVID (including expenses related to health and safety regulations).
The grants do NOT have to be paid back but must be spent in such areas as payroll, rent/mortgage, PPE, health care benefits, sick leave, employee training and other costs related to COVID compliance and increased expenses, etc. Women and minority-owned companies are encouraged to apply.
